How to make a rose out of leaves
Step 1 - Gather materials
Collect several leaves (at least 10), a twig for the stem, tape (preferably floral or green tape but use what you have), scissors (if needed), and additional decorative items if desired. Prepare the tape ahead of time because it will be difficult later to tear off tape when you are holding the leaves together. If needed, cut the tape in thinner strips for better control when taping.
Step 2 - Arrange by size
Arrange the leaves from smallest to largest. This step is helpful because it allows you to easily move along the process.
Step 3 - Create the rose
Take the first leaf (smallest), tuck the tip down, and roll into a tube. This is the center of the rose.
Step 4
Take the next leaf, tuck the tip down, and place it around the first leaf. Note: the leaves might not be big enough to wrap around the entire center - that's okay. Just place leaves around the center and cover the edge of each leaf as you add more.
Step 5
Take the next leaf, tuck the tip down, and place it around the previous leaf.
Step 6
Continue to add leaves until the desired size or appearance.
Step 7
Once satisfied with it, wrap tape around the bottom to secure it. Be sure to pinch the leaves tightly while wrapping the tape around them.
Step 8
Add the twig by placing it into the bottom of the leaves and taping it tightly.
Step 9
Add additional decorative items, if desired, and it's complete.
